- Bring to boil, then lower heat to simmer for 45 minutes.
- Cut fresh bell peppers in half long ways and remove the seeds and inedible stem.
- Add fresh peppers to large pot of salted, boiling water for 5 minutes.
- Add the jar of spaghetti sauce to dirty rice mixture.
- Fill each bell pepper with the meat mixture.
- Bake covered for 30 minutes in 325° oven.
- Remove peppers from oven and sprinkle grated cheese mixture on top of each one.
- Bake uncovered until cheese is melted, 7-10 minutes.
